What types of arts do you support?
We support a wide range of traditional and modern interpretations of Nordic and Celtic arts, including:
Dance: Irish Step Dance, Highland Dance
Music: Any instrument of Celtic or Scandanavian origin.
Langauges: Any Celtic or Scandanavian language
Visual Arts: Crafting, weaving, carving, etc.
Other culturally rooted arts
Who can apply for funding or support?
Anyone with a demonstrable commitment to Nordic or Celtic arts can apply. This includes students, independent artists, performers, educators, and cultural practitioners, regardless of background or heritage.
Do I have to be of Nordic or Celtic descent to apply?
Not at all! We believe cultural appreciation and stewardship are open to all who approach with sincerity, respect, and a desire to learn or contribute meaningfully.
What Tartan Does NCCS Use?
We wear the Weathered Black Watch - an open tartan. We are in the process of designing & registering our very own tartan!
How can I support your mission?
You can support the Nordic Celts Cultural Society by:
Donating directly
Becoming a member
Volunteering your time or skills
Attending our fundraising events
Spreading the word about our mission
All contributions go toward scholarships, artist grants, educational programming, and cultural outreach.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes! We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Do you host events or festivals?
Yes! Outside of our monthly meetings, we aim to plan as many events as possible to accomodate schedules. We also attend as many Highland Games, Celtic Festivals, and Ren Faires as possible. Follow us on social media to keep up with future events!
Can I collaborate or partner with the Society?
